Probably best known for his production work with Radiohead, Beck or Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nigel Godrich is also a respected musician that you’ve probably seen playing guitar and synths with Thom Yorke’s Atoms For Piece ensemble. Lately he’s been working with L.A. drummer/producer Joey Waronker and London artist Laura Bettinson on a new mysterious project called Ultraísta.

Their debut single is called “Smalltalk” and it’s currently streaming on SoundCloud and YouTube. The song is a sophisticated piece of electronica with intricate programmed beats, eerie synths and some beautifully spare vocals by Bettinson.

Even though Louis Warynski (aka Chapelier Fou) is still relatively unknown to the masses, he already has quite a lot to show for himself. Three EPs, a critically-acclaimed debut album, over a hundred live shows all around the world and now a second full length, Invisible, which is already getting a lot of heat.

On the heels of their UK tour support for rising star Azealia Banks, London-based trio Dems recently unveiled their new double A-side single “Inner O / Bridesmaid”. Helmed by musician/producer Dan Moss, joined by multi-instrumentalists David Gardener and Duncan Mann, Dems keep distilling their very personal brand of electronica mixed with wonderfully blissed-out guitars, atmospheric synths and elements of IDM.

Reminiscent of The xx (for the textured melodies) or Gotye (for the heartwrenching vocals), Dems have already received strong support from BBC Radio 1′s Jaymo and Andy George, Rob da Bank and Pete Tong. Hailing from the Far Eastern town of Khabarovsk, indie electronic outfit Sistra (or more correctly систра) was created in 2006 by Artem Gnesin (vocals), Roman Lopatkov (bass), Roman Murashtov (drums) and Arsenii Sysoletin (guitars). After three EPs and countless gigs around Russia and Ukraine, the quartet is now releasing their new single “Revolving in You” through their BandCamp.

Three years after their sophomore album Temporary Pleasure, legendary British dance duo Simian Mobile Disco are finally sharing a new track! “Seraphim” is the first song taken off their forthcoming album, Unpatterns, and it is now streaming on their SoundCloud.

“Seraphim” is a more restrained and melow than SMD’s previous material, but if you give it a good listen and let it sink in for a minute or two, you will probably end up loving it! The single is out on April 9th and the album will be out on May 15th on Wichita Recordings.

Before starting his new solo project under the Tourist moniker, Brighton-based producer Will Phillips had already made a name for himself as Little Loud with his remixes of HEALTH, Yeasayer, Clock Opera, Goldfrapp or Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti.

Instrumental hip hop duo The Cancel is the fruit of a collaboration between Andrei Zelenskii and Dmitrii Fedusiv, two Ukrainian musicians with a common passion for jazz music and old vinyls. Their music finds its roots in the works of jazz maestros such as John Coltrane and Miles Davis passed through the filter of modern electronica-influenced hip hop (think Ninja Tune or Stones Throw).
